HELP FIGHT THE DECLINING BIRD POPULATION
In the UK bird numbers are declining. There are a lot of reasons why including the change in Farming, Climate Change and the rise of housing estates and urban spaces over rural areas.
This is a big problem for our Garden Birds; their natural food has dwindled and they are struggling to survive the changes. Birds that were once taken for granted such as House Sparrows have declined by 95% since 1970. Bullfinches by 53%, Song Thrushes by 56% and even Starlings by a huge 71%.
We can help fight the decline in our bird population by supporting them in our gardens. Providing food for them is a key part of this; but we need to make sure it is the food they actually need.
